Acceptable Use Policy

LUCID by HORUS NeuroTechnologies
Effective date: October 6, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy is part of the LUCID Terms of Use. It describes how LUCID may and may not be used, so that it stays safe and useful for every clinician and every patient. Capitalized terms have the meanings given in the Terms of Use.

1. Use LUCID as a clinician

LUCID is a professional tool for licensed health care professionals and for clinicians in training under appropriate supervision. Use it to support your own clinical judgment, review the basis of every recommendation, and follow your institution's policies. Do not use LUCID to give advice directly to patients or the public, and do not let it delay emergency care, consultation or escalation.

2. Keep patient identifiers out

Enter only the clinical details LUCID needs. Do not enter, paste or upload names, record or account numbers, dates directly related to a person, ages over 89, contact details, addresses, images that show a face, or any other identifier listed in the HIPAA de-identification standard at 45 C.F.R. 164.514(b). LUCID removes common identifiers on your device, but that safeguard is not a guarantee. If identifiers are entered by mistake, tell us at horusneurotechnologies@gmail.com.

3. Your account is yours

Use one account, for yourself only. Do not share your sign-in details, let others use your account, create several accounts, for example to repeat a free trial, or misrepresent your name, role or professional status.

4. Do not misuse the service

Do not, and do not help anyone else to:

  • use LUCID for anything unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive or harmful;
  • access LUCID with bots, scrapers or other automated means, or extract its content in bulk;
  • copy, decompile or reverse engineer LUCID, its rules or its encodings, except where the law allows this despite this restriction;
  • probe, scan or test LUCID's security without our written permission, or get around any security, access, usage or payment control;
  • upload malicious code, or overload or disrupt LUCID or the systems it relies on.

5. Do not misuse the content

Do not resell, sublicense or republish LUCID or its outputs as a product or service of your own, and do not use LUCID or its outputs to build, train, fine-tune or benchmark a competing product or model without our written permission. Respect the rights of the guideline publishers whose work LUCID cites.

6. Communicate respectfully

Do not use feedback forms, error reports or support channels to harass anyone, to send unsolicited messages, or to send patient information.

7. Reporting and enforcement

Report suspected misuse, or a security concern, to horusneurotechnologies@gmail.com. If we believe this policy has been broken, we may warn you, remove content, suspend or end access, and, where appropriate, inform the relevant authorities. Good-faith security research that follows our Security page is welcome.

8. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as LUCID changes, and the effective date shows the latest version. Questions: horusneurotechnologies@gmail.com, HORUS NeuroTechnologies LLC, United States.
